To the folks of Krafters Korner [NFB Krafters Division]:

I hope you can be at the Meeting tonight May 14, 2018 7:30 P.M. Eastern 605
475 4000 code 966659#to learn what kind of future Krafters Korner has with
the folks running for the next two years with the positions they have chosen
to run for.

I have had the opportunity to be involved, learn from many of our NFB
Leaders. I had the chance to learn from some of the well-known Leaders in
the NFB and was taught Leadership skills from my local chapter, state
affiliate, Division leaders and the many leaders in Baltimore. I was taught
how to live my life to the fullest and to give back to those who need to
learn how to make a life without sight. A life worth living as I want to
live!

in 2005 I was in Baltimore studying at my first Leadership Seminar. I have
gone to Baltimore and stayed at the NFB many times, to learn so much. I
learn how to step up and serve on NFB boards. And was given the chance to
learn from the best group of Leaders.

In my local chapter I was there at the first meeting, newly blind [8 months
after going blind. I served as secretary for 5 years and President for 8
years. I just got off the board after serving 6 years on the Southern CT
Chapter of the NFB. We had a good team of folks that started up this
chapter and I hope it will continue for another 20 years.

I served as board member on the State of CT Affiliate & Secretary, for a
total of 5 years. I serve on the Diabetic Action Network 1 year on the
board, 2 years as secretary and 1 year as First Vice President.

I have spent the last 11 years developing a dream into a reality with The
NFB Krafters Division. It took a lot of good folks, who I can call friends
with trials and errors, but I need to say I could not have done this all by
myself.

I hope we, together with this new board, will work on getting Krafters
Korner back to the business of enjoying crafting, learn a new craft, teach
it to another blind person and become their friend.

Joyce Kane, Creator of
NFB Krafters Division
