 I am certainly game for gathering the great suggestions that everyone is offering!  I agree a separate e-mail account should be set up and the person acknowledged when a suggestion is made.

Thank you for your suggestions and comments.   Would one of you volunteer and collect these suggestions to save for those who will be working on exactly what you are talking about.

We never had as many committees as we had this year.  We did have  had board members chairing these committees, but there wasn't much of the folks joining into these committees to work along side of the board members.    You need to help out, too.  If we had more participation among the members, there would not be such a burden placed on the board.

We have 63 paid members and we have over 150 folks on this list.  So maybe we need a suggestion box and maybe we need to listen & consider each of the suggestions, so who will volunteer to be in charge of the suggestion box???  We can even set up a new email address for it.  I do think the person who takes on this needs to read each suggestion, write back to the person that sent it to acknowledge it was received and read and then quarterly give the board the suggestions with comments and if they received any clarification on the suggestions and report back to the person who submitted the suggestion with what the board has decided.  That is what I would do if I was in charge of this, but let's see what you would do and who volunteers to do it.

Yes, I found them and the minutes where they were voted on. I do think we need to revisit these rules and responsibilities. I like someone else's suggestion as to sharing the job duties but having a specific Board Member in charge of that particular aspect. Team Work!!! A place where everyone has a voice!!!! For example, I was asked to temporarily fill a position. One responsibility was to submit reports to national. I am good with paperwork and I am sure someone on the board or national would help learn what was needed. Another responsibility is teaching or leading a chat at least once a quarter. I have been tol d by a few different people that I am not teacher material. And I have proven that I am terrible at making it to chats, even when I put it on my calendar. So, that means that I cannot fulfill the requirements of the position. This may be what is keeping people from running.
