Dave was a wonderful man Tammy and he reminded me so much of my dad! Cheerful outgoing personality even with all his medical issues. Okay, enough of that, I am at work!

It is way too early for this type of question when loss is so close. I have had a lot of losses that had an impact on me. June 5th will be a year that we lost my mother. Having dealt with her birthday May 18, then Mother's Day, and now the year anniversary is a little overwhelming. I miss her!

Losing my dad was a hard loss too. He is where I get my humor from dry as it might be sometimes. I learned a lot from him. He owned and ran a sewing machine company for over 25 years and that is where I grew up. I helped fix machines and helped him sell new ones too. He taught me the tricks of sewing and keeping your machine in top order. Imagine back in Home Ec. Class where you were the most popular kid because you could fix your classmates machine and get them sewing again! I loved it. Cindy, I need help! Cindy, can you fix my bobbin something is wrong? Cindy....Cindy....it is a wonder I ever got my own sewing projects done.

The loss of a child is someone no one should have to deal with. It is such a different loss. We lost our daughter when she was just a few days old. You don't have all the memories, you just have the "I wonder..." I wonder what her favorite color would have been? I wonder what she would have grown up to be? Would she have liked crafts like me and been outgoing or more reserved like her dad? That list goes on and on...

Nella,
Well, good luck with those last minute chores! Safe travels to the dessert.

I lost my Granma 33 years ago. She was so great to talk to. She listened and offered wisdom with her comments. She is the one that helped me learn to crochet and like you, I made my 1 and only 9 patch quilt. That was so awesome!

I lost my Dad 19 years ago. What is there to say, That was my Dad.
He walked on water and everything. lol! At least in my mind he did.
We had all kinds of fishing adventures. Boy! Could I tell some fish Tales! lol!

I lost my husband 3 years ago. Yep, he walked on water too! He was the most awesome man I ever met! He was right up there with my Dad.
Smile! We were only married for 2 years. Losing these kind of people leaves such an empty hole in your heart. Sure glad I have a lot of wonderful memories tucked away. Treasure those you're closest too.
