Cindy, have you tried Sports drink. That helps me with leg cramps, and it has potassium.

Yes, I can eat bananas and have been.  I need more help with potassium than a banana a day due to the chemo.  I did suggest that I up my potassium level and the doctor agreed so now I will take two pills a day to see if that will help.

Can you eat bananas? They are rich in potassium, and I think that some greens are too.

I have finished week 3 of chemo.  They are watching my blood counts.  My potassium level has been low the last 2 weeks so they gave me potassium during my chemo treatment to help bring that up.  My platelet count continues to drop so they are watching that closely.  I'm fairly sure that when I see the doctor on Monday they will give me one week off of radiation and chemo starting on Tuesday.  They are thinking this will help my platelet level come back up and give my body a break.  I won’s know for sure until I meet with the radiation doctor on Monday.  I do feel that the mass is shrinking.  I asked, and they do not re-scan until after the original treatment plan is over.

Right now the chemo is making my mouth, hands and lips very dry.  Lots of lotion and hard candy seem to do the trick, plus drinking lots of water.

I'm tolerating the pain fairly well.  Advil and Tylenol are my friends.

I appreciate all the support.  The purple ribbons, the gel cushion and all your thoughts and prayers.  Thank you!!!
