If there is nobody that wants that loom I would suggest they call their local 4-H. I am sure that it would be put to great use.

Tammy put up the names of a couple in Maryland who have a loom they want to get rid of. It is a rug loom, 48 inches wide. Would be wonderful to have, but must be shipped from Maryland to Arizona or Idaho is a long way. I could make room in my garage, but already have more to do than I can get done. I think zero hour for this lady and her loom is this week. It is made by a company in Maine called Macomber, unforgettable name for those who read Debbie's books. Now, like me, you can drewel over it. Winding the warp on the loom is not as much fun as weaving, but would love to try if I thought I could find some time. Price of shipping unknown, but high. Price of heavy rug yarn, also high unless found at garage sale. Rags work if you have the patience to cut and sew them. Much cheaper than yarn. I have no doubt rugs would sell for 50 dollars or more each. I am not quite 75; do you think I will live long enough to do all the things on my bucket list? Maybe I should look for a smaller loom, but items made are not as exciting. I sure hate to see this lady junk this loom!

I’ve done some leaving but it was on a giant weaving loom thing. I am not sure it’s even called a loom. It was out of school but I would absolutely love to find a way to do it at home. I found it very enjoyable.

Thank you,

> Hi, all, I don't remember if I've asked this question on here or not, but I really really want to learn to weave items like bookmarks, belts, potholders, dishcloths, placemats, and maybe wall hangings. I have heard of a few looms but know nothing about them. What is a good starter loom that is a little more sophisticated than a potholder kkids' loom? I have almost no help with instruction reading and getting started. I want to hopefully work with one strand of cotton or acrylic worsted weight yarn like sugar and cream or red heart. I don't want to use super thin or super bulky yarn.
> Any guidance and/or suggestions as to how I can accomplish this lifetime goal and ambition that I have wanted to do since age seven to 10 would be most greatly appreciated. I will have to order online or by mail or phone as there are no stores around that carry things like this. I have been to hobby lobby and we are going to get a JoAnn''s Fabric and craft store here eventually but it has not opened yet. Thanks for any help or guidance and advice. I already know how to crochet, needle knit, loom knit, weave with a potholder loom, latchhook, and a small amount of plastic canvas stitching.
