[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Glue

Do you know of any that are water resistant like Goop?  Glues like it are
great, but have a rubbery base and don't always work well.

One of of the best glues that I have used is 
Aleene's Original Tacky Glue

This comes in a bottle and a jar.

The bottle has a pointed top that by turning it will open and shut the
bottle.  This glue is thicker and works well.

The jar is a paste that you use your fingers or I tend to use the glucose
test strips to get smaller amounts in place.

Both of these are water saluible so don't worry about getting it on
yourself.  Most of the craft supply stores carry the bottle, but not all
carry the jar.  I do keep a jar all the time in the house.

Here I found this on Amazon:

Aleene's Super Thick Tacky Glue 4oz jar

This thicker one will dry and I peel it off my finger.  They drie clear and
have a super bond.

I don't know I'm the best to answer this, but I stick with thicker glues
that don't run so much.  When I'm ready to glue something I bring the thing
to be glued, the glue, and a paper towel with me.  As soon as I amfinished
gluing, I get it off my fingers right away.  Then wipe any excess off the
item glued.  Mostly I meet with success,but would love to hear others' ideas
as well.

I hear people casually mentioning gluing stuff.  I'd really like to know the
technique.  When I try to glue things, I always get more glue on my fingers
than on the thing, which doesn't hold together well anyway.  And, if I'm
using real glue, I have to spend a half hour with the nail polish remover
getting the glue off of me.  So what's the trick?
