Class Description:

We will review certain characteristics and parts of the machine; discuss
guiding fabric through the machine; sew various widths of straight seams;
learn to turn a right angle corner; sew some hems on the machine.

 

Skills Needed: 

Know how to thread the bobbin and the top of the machine; know how to raise
and lower the presser foot; know where the reverse lever is. 

 

Supply list:

*	sewing machine
*	needle threader(s)
*	thread (medium weight (cotton/polyester is good, but 100 percent
cotton is okay)
*	at least two pieces of woven cotton fabric smooth fabric at least 8
by 10 inches in size
*	scissors
*	Tape measure.
