Hi Deborah
I met you on the chat call last Monday. I'm Shelley and mainly knit, but
slowly learning to crochet. My partener Roger is blind to and does wood
work. We both make items to cell at a local farmer's market. This afternoon
we went to a support group in town for the blind, but It seems only seniors
come out. They were playing bingo today. I made small origami boxes that I
learned on a class here and decorated the tops of them with a pipe cleaner
flower and then filled them with candy. They gave them out as bingo prizes
to day. And at Next months meeting  Roger and I will be giving a talk on our
crafting.

Hi everyone,
My name is Deborah MacIlroy and I joined the Krafters Korners group last
week. I am very excited about this. I retired last year from the Arizona
Rehabilitation Services Administration where I was the Assistant Program
Manager for the Independent Living Blind program. I live in Mesa, Arizona
which is a suburb of Phoenix. While working I really did not have much time
to pursue my crafting interests. I have retinitis pigmentsosa  so I have
very little peripheral vision, but have had fairly good straight ahead
vision. However, in the last few years even this vision has deteriorated. I
can no longer do my crafts as I used to do using my vision. So I  have to
learn ew ways to accomplish this endeavor. So that is why I am so excited
about the Krafters Korner group. I am interested in doing just about
anything. I have signed up for the Beginning Crochet group. In the past I
have done embroidery, machine sewing and card making by stamping. I would
love to learn to quilt also. So I am quite e  xcited about expanding my
crafting horizons with you all.
