HI.
there is no mistake in the pattern. I am still working on it, but i’ve got the hang of it now. It just took me a while to understand what i was supposed to be doing. 
At one point my little chihuahua frodo hopped in my knitting bag and somehow managed to tangle the wool.  I had to start again.  Another time somehow my knitting came off the needles and try as i might I couldn’t get it back on correctly.  I am on track now.  the shawl certainly does sound beautiful.
