This is not Michael Henson book.  That one was "Thunder dog. 

This is about the dogs that were used  in the events of search & rescued and
how they came about being trained and matched with their handlers.

Excellent book!

I read "Thunder Dog" when it first came out and that was an excellent book,
too.

library  It is called "Hero Dogs".
