Hi Joyce, I also remember Paul Newmans Hole In The Wall Camp
I volunteered there one summer when I was trying to figure out if I really 
wanted to be a special ed teacher.
I remember that great big meeting space too, I used to play my guitar for 
the campers and they got a kick out of making up their own special and 
sometimes silly sounding songs while I strummed out a melody on the guitar.
I wonder if that camp is still around. Paul and Jo Ann Woodward were great 
people, as rich as they were, they weren't snooty.
I got to be near Paul when he had one of his racing cars up at Lime Rock 
race track.
yep, great memories indeed. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane. Big

I kinda of done wood burning..

I had volunteered for a week up at the Paul Newman's Hole In The Wall Camp.
One of the girls there took a liking to me and she liked doing sit down
projects and just talking.  She lived in a group home and I guess she found
me as a friend who would sit and listen to her.  She showed me how to do
wood burning and she was terminally ill.  This was a fantastic place where
kids no matter what their illness was they   could enjoy themselves and the
medical folks would go to them instead of them waiting around for their
medications or treatments.    It was a bitter sweet environment  for me, but
I had my Dog Wisty leading me around and attracted the kids to come by and
hang with me &Wisty.

This precious 14 year old guided Wisty and I up into the tree house that was
built among  lots of trees.  There was ramps and pathways to go up there and
they had Authors of books, poets and music players go up and entertain the
groups of kids.  I don't remember, but one of the larger rooms up in the
tree held like 50 people sitting on the floor in the building built in the
trees.  They brought kids in wheelchairs up there.  No one left behind.

Man that brings back  Memories..
