You mentioned you gave up on plastic grid. If you would like to give it another try, maybe you could let us know what difficulty you were having.
Many of us make things with plastic grid, and we may be able to help you get back on track.

I am new to this list and I am lost on how to find different things and how this list works. I would like to learn new crafts and am interesting in seeing what others do for crafts. Can any one explain how it all works? Is there a certain place I need to go to see what is going on? Sorry I am just lost and trying to get more involved.
