[NFB-Krafters-Korner] learning more

Knitting in the round with 2 circular needles is my technique of choice when
knitting in the round as well.

I have taught knitting in the round with 2 circs in the past. If this
technique is one people would like to learn I could teach it again.

I couldn't get hooked on the magic loop when I tried it long ago. What I
found works for me is 2 circular needles. I use both needles to knit the
whole hat, mittens, socks, etc. I usually get 2 - 16" circular needles in
the size I plan on using.

Tracy;
After convention, can you teach the majic loop method. Maybe we can make a
baby hat and use that method for the closure.
I have heard of it, but have no idea what it is!
Joyce tought me to use double pointed needles, long ago, but I do not use
them very often!

Hi Bernice.
I enjoy learning new things, too.

When I get near the top of a hat, using my circular needle, I use the magic
loop. You pull some of the cable out between 2 stitches, or even do that
twice, so it looks like a heart. Then you knit up to one of your cable
loops, and move the cable loop to a different place. It takes a little
longer than normal circular knitting, but it doesn't require dpn's.
