[NFB-Krafters-Korner] What is everyone working on?

Hi Joyce,

I am using 4 ply acrylic yarn. It is a rectangle about 10 by 15 inches. The
finished product is a bit smaller, but not much including the fringe. I go
around the loom 5 times, so I think it is 10 threads thick. It would be
really cool to have loops that big. I'm sure it would be fantastic to use
rug yarn also. I think the cotton yarn would have to go more times around
since it isn't fluffy at all. 

There are 2 strands at each peg for each layer. You have to tie off 348
intersections on my loom.

Is this a square loom??  Are you using cotton yarn or loops of some kind?  I
was thinking about if I could make potholders on the larger potholder loom,
but use only one strand of yarn???

That is how I had done it on a triangle and a square.  

I do love how the large potholder looms and the cotton loops work up from
Harrisville.

Hi Tammy,

My handyman finally repaired a rectangular peg loom I have had for probably
45 years. My son-in-law went on line and found a chart on how to string it
to make pretty big hot pads. I've made 2 so far.

I have been working on a placemat.  Hopefully, it will turn into a set.
Smile!At night, I have been reading a book on a wide variety of ways to make
dolls.  It is pretty cool!  It has everything from Apple Head dolls to
Voodoo dolls.  lol!  Think I'll pass on that last one.
