[NFB-Krafters-Korner] discovery

Hi Dottie,

I used a cable cast on. I carefully pulled the thread gently where it would
let me. I wanted to be careful not to make any knots. When a loop kind of
popped up, I put it on the needle. It was bit tedious, but quicker than
starting over.

I bought blocking boards, so I pretty much go with it is better to be a tiny
bit short and block it to size. I've made 10 rectangles all different
patterns. I love making up patterns. Yesterday I made a cool pattern. It is
all knit and pearl, but I had 3 ribs vertically in from the border on each
side. Then after 6 rows, I made 3 ribs going across keeping the vertical
ones in tact. I repeated this 3 times with a border to get the 9 by 7
inches.

Bernice and the adorable Lolo.

Good work, Bernice, what kind of cast-on had you used? I have a feeling that
some kinds of cast-on are easier to do this with than others but I don't
have the will power to try them all and see.
