Hi

For this lock down i belonged to several craft grid that i use to go to with my PA as well as workshops all over the region where i live. Since lock down i have been listening to or reading diffferent museums sites that have craft sections on their website or part of their facebook pages and either coming up with my own verison if they are far too I accessable or asking my friend thorugh FaceTime to help me interpreter the instructions. I found the baker Ross craft page good for ideas even though they are moslty for children. If you go the online version of the Leeds inspire website for those in the UK and obviously change it to the city you live in they have a whiel list of online zoom and other meetings, live streams and over stuff that yo cna get involve with that include crafts. They are nto made wiht blind people in mind but if you contact the organiser they are usually pretty good once they understand what you need. It might take some work with the museums to make them understand aobut blindness as i have found when contacting them about website, collections online and other stuff so you will need to be persistent and have suggestions for them to consider but they are willing to do what they cna which is a start. Sense say they are trying to bring together a crafting section but as yet i have not seen anything from them so far.
A few ways i personally get ideas is that i have ideas that i get whiel writing reading or whiel i am doing other crafts that I just have a go at sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t but I always give them a go and just see what happens. Hope that helps
Amy
