I think when I was a preteen, we called those spools French knitting.

Come on now Feanette, toy department, We used them as a kid.  Also I don't know if they still make wooden spools for thread, but we nailed 5 pegs into the top of wooden thread.  I guess I'm getting old, but they still have to have the plastic 5 peg thingy out there.

Hi Jill, I haven’t made anything on the loom in quite awhile. This project has peaked my interest however. I have ordered some yarn and plan to join the class. I was wondering if you were planning to send the written pattern out to those who take the class?
