So, after years of wanting to learn how to crochet, and less years hoping I was crocheting the right way only to discover that I was making an item only from slip stitch—it's too big to call a scarf and too small to call a baby blanket—I finally, finally think I understand single crochet enough to continuously make even rows. The only thing I don't like about my practice piece is that the hook I used to make my foundation chain is lots bigger than my 2nd biggest hook, so the holes are disproportionate to the rest of the piece. The 2nd problem is that my practice piece will soon become a scarf if I'm not careful. So this new found knowledge has made me excited. So much so that when I realized that my night time friend Sleep would be absent for a while, what did I do? Crochet some more, of course. 🙂
