Well,

I feel I had a bit of a challenge teaching this Angel Class over the last 2
weeks. Now I had never had put my hands on this Angel safety pin kit nor
had the opportunity to read the directions prior to one day before the
class. There was a lot of beads and 7 different shapes and/or sizes.

My first challenge was separating the beads. Some of those beads were real
small, too.

The day of the first class I had my beads in different baggies and I had my
son read the directions into my iPhone. Lot of good it did me there, so I
transcribed the directions[brought memories back of medical transcribing].

I jumped in with 2 feet, 2 hands & 10 fingers and got the skirt done before
the 1st class began.
I actually made the skirt 3 times start to finish before I got it right.
Not the easiest being sure the pins are all facing in the right direction,
getting all the pins in a circle and twisting the wire tightly[avoiding
trimming the wire too short]

The second week's challenge was the directions wanted you to cut several
lengths of wire. Man this company must have had little children with little
hands, as my suggested 6 inch wire I turned into 14 inch piece [worked much
better for me and my short fat fingers. And then getting 2 wires down the
center of the head, collar, 3 different size beads, the unfolded fancy bell
cap, thru the center of the 10 safety pins and then twisting these 2 wires
together[not finished, yet. Separating the 2 wires and bringing one to one
side of the skirt and twisting it around the back side of the safety pin all
while your both hands & 10 fingers are under this poor Angel's skirt. You
then have to do all of this again on the other side with the number 2 wire.
You thought I was finished...Now if you did not pull the wire tight while
messing around under this Angel's skirt you won't have and Angel standing up
straight.

One step backward. I forgot the fancy edge on the bottom of the skirt
Directions told me to cut another 12 inches piece of wire, well I jumped
ahead and got myself like 15 inches of wire. Directions said to put wire
thru the head of the safety pin , 1 4mm bead , [ 3] 18mm star beads, 1 4mm
bead & thru the head of the next head of the safety pin and repeat around
until all safety pins are on the wire then twist tighten and trim wire.
Sounds rather simple. LOL If you don't have a flat area to lay this out so
you can feel if all pins are facing in the correct direction and all 10 pins
are in a row and you have all these tiny 4mm beads in a coffee cup placed
where you won't tip it over, well that may be easier. Just picture this...
Everything is as I said above &I am working on this my second time and my
oldest son mid 40's walks in and tells me he has supper and it is ready now
and he wants to put it down in front of me...A flash went thru my mind,
"Lets eat outside on the deck, but he tells me it has been raining outside
all day.

My angel is done. I haven't glued her wings on yet, but she is standing up
straight and she needs to wait to earn her wings or I need to keep my
distance from her a little longer. My advise to all "If you keep your ands
under an Angel's skirt, you will pay...
