[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Prefered circular knitting needles

I don't currently use interchangeable circular needles, so I don't know if
the interchangeables from Chiao Goo have a key or not, but I'd definitely
look for a brand that has a key.  I've had enough of being in the middle of
a large project and having my needles come off the cable!

Right now, the only circular needles I have are the fixed ones, and I do
still use those.  I'll admit that they are better for large projects, like
the two foot by 8-foot strip I'm making for my bedspread.  I really like the
circular chiao goo needles, because they have a 45-degree angle where the
cable meets the needle, and the cables tend to stay straight and don't curl
around your wrists.

Oh Jane.  I love circular needles, especially for heavier items.  There's no
way I could make my granddaughter's blanket if I didn't have the circular
ones.

Do the interchangeable needles you have now have a key?  I automatically
lose the key the minute I get it.  <g<

I got a set of interchangeable needles from ADI that you give a quarter-turn
to the needle to fasten it onto the cable, but I must be a violent knitter,
and press the needle's end into my leg to move the yarn off or something,
because my cable came off of the needle tip, and those needles went right
back to Amazon.  I didn't like Adi much anyway, because the cables seemed to
rise up and cling to my wrists.  The cables from Chiao Goo seem to be much
less clingy.  But I still don't like circular needles.

Do you mean a brand?  I have the Addi-click set of interchangeable needles,
with 3 cable sizes and a whole heap of needle tips.  I think I use the
intermediate cable length for hats, the easier to do Magic Loop.  For Magic
Loop, the more flexible the cable, the better.
