[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Log Cabin knitting technique

How about teaching something easier, like a coaster or wash cloth, so people can learn how to pick up knitted stitches.  Then teach the rist warmers.
I have no idea how to pick up the stitches.  I kind of have an idea, but I mean I have never done it!

This sounds like a great idea with 7 or 10 stitches in each square. You could make almost anything with corners pointing up or straight sides pointing up.
