> Prepare your braille writer:
> Slide margins as far to the left and right as they can go.
> Prepare paper to make the card
> Position paper so that long sides are to the right and left.
> Bend the paper from top to bottom.
> match up the two layers by using the corners of the paper.
> Slide one hand to center of bottom edge, and with other hand, press down on the fold at the top. Make a hard crease.
> Open the paper, turn it over and turn it so that the long edges are now at the top and bottom.
> Your crease should run vertically down the center with the hard crease facing up.
> Place your paper into the braille writer with the paper going in just as it is positioned. (now you know why you have adjusted the margins to their limits. If you still can’t fit the paper in, then use the screw near the margin adjuster to give you more room.)
> Roll in your paper.
> Now adjust left-hand margin so that you can only braille to the right of the vertical fold. Allow for a space between the fold. Check your carriage before continuing to ensure that you will not be brailling over the fold.
