[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Types of beads

Hi Theresa,

The magnetic beads are called hematite. I have seen them on a number of jewelry supply sites. I made a couple of bracelets using a combination of hematite and white beads. They are quite pretty. I gave one to an instructor of a class I attended and started to get folks who wanted to purchase a hematite bracelet from me. But they didn’t even want to pay the price for the beads. That is why I said that expense may be a factor. They are used for bracelets or necklaces for adults, not kids probably for that very reason. The magnitism is quite strong. They were a good way for me to search for dropped safety pins. <smile>

May God bless you.

I wanted feedback if anyone has worked with other bead types. So far we are looking at sand stone, sea glass and granite. There are so many different types that the sky is the limit. I would love any feedback.
