[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Magnetic beads

Ramona, A few short years ago I bought some wire that is permanently shaped into a coil, like a spring almost. I have two sizes: one has coils the size of a necklace and the other is coiled the size of a bracelet. It's very hard, but you cut it to be the size, or number of coils, you desire. I made a very nice bracelet by cutting a length that was three coils long. I placed four beads with smaller beads between each of them. I glued each of the four larger beads in place evenly around the wire and just let the smaller beads slide back and forth on the wire between the larger beads. Then I used a tool to make a loop at each end to hide the sharp edges. That coiled wire comes in gold color and in silver. I wish I could remember what that wire is called. It must be tempered or something, because it's very hard and difficult to cut; but it's worth it. Has anybody seen this wire before? Cathy Miller

A bracelet that can wrap around sounds like a great idea to me, especially if you could wrap it more than once. That should make it fit any arm and stay on. I bet the jewelry makers could tell us how to finish the ends so there are no sharp points.

I wanted feedback if anyone has worked with other bead types. So far we are looking at sand stone, sea glass and granite. There are so many different types that the sky is the limit. I would love any feedback.
