[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Pattern Question

I don't. I enjoy interesting patterns, and they're usually a bit
complicated to remember for more than 1 row. I braille them out, and that
makes it easy to just read a row whenever I need to.
Lately I've had a couple patterns that are just straight stockinette. Not
exciting, but almost meditative to do. But now I'm ready for something more
complex again.
I was surprised to hear that a person in my knitting group had translated a
chart into written instructions. I thought only blind people had to do
that, and it's a real pain. I suppose it's easier if you can see the darn
symbols, but apparently still a pain.

Hi!
General question for the group. Do you gravitate to patterns that you can
memorize? Why/why not?
Thanks!
