Hi Terry, when I make my blanket, it will be on my bed, and, when I make my bed up each morning, the inside of the blanket won't show. Problem solved, big smile.
No need to go making a backing for my blanket
I have decided to crochet a border around the edge. Again, any problems solved, bigger smile.
( There's more than one way to make a blanket, ay Courtney? )
I might even make a Granny Square blanket like you and I talked about, don't know yet, lol.

I use the same technique as in the stocking. It does show on the back, but I will cover the back of the blanket once the blanket is finished.

Courtney;
I can see why you need 2 balls of white, but how are you connecting the green to the white?
Are you bringing the green behind  each row of white?
Is there a way to prevent this from showing on the other side.
 When we did the stocking, our change of color was on the inside of the stocking.

On my football field blanket, I’m doing the sideline stripes for a few inches & then switch to green. I have a ball of white for the left sideline & a ball of white for the right sideline.

You can always practice & figure out what works by making a swatch.

Are you doing stranded colorwork?

If so, I use one strand to pull over the other and the other one stays under so they don’t get twisted
