Actually, some of them do have descriptions.  I subscribe to Sero, which has a whole section for described programs.  It's terrific!  Some don't get released until the season is over, but sometimes it's worth the wait to actually know what's happening.  And it's only $6 a month, well within my entertainment budget.  If you have an iPhone, you can asearch the app store for Sero, and off you go.  I think it also works on a PC, but I prefer flopping down in my comfy chair with my phone.
