[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Lockdown blues

A good way to chase the blues away is to get more classes on the calendar! Scheduling some pop-up phone classes will help with social isolation issues.

I don’t know about everyone, but I can say for me, the corona virus panic hasn’t really interrupted my life any.

Anyway, put those social skills to work!! Give Tammy a call & get some classes scheduled so we don’t go crazy like the rest of the country!

Hi Tracy and everyone, I was thinking that maybe Tammy and the rest of the
board could relax the rules about chatting on the list while most if not all
of us go through this Corona virus crisis.
social isolation certainly is not a good thing for anyone, it is probably
hardest on folks like the elderly and disabled.
I am glad to have the Monday night chats and some phone classes and the Loom
and Crochet groups.
What do you say to letting people chat about things until this Corona virus
mess is behind us Tammy and Board members?
I would be glad to moderate such a chat group.

The town where I live has the most coronavirus cases in the county, so the
town and county have decided that all but a few essential businesses must
close.  One of the non-essentials is my local yarn store.  I understand it's
non-essential, but I miss going over, hanging out with other knitters,
checking out new yarns and projects, getting help on my project, or just
knitting and chatting.  The saddest thing is that no one knows how long this
will go on.  Rents here are ridiculously high, and I bet the landlord isn't
going to forgo anything.  I don't know if the businesses I know and love
will survive.  So I've got the lockdown blues.
