Sandy,
My ironing board has a leaver on the underside that you press to raise and
lower the board.  When I use that leaver, my fingers are not in danger of
being caught in the action.  I just got one at Walmart.

Hello Everyone,
I know it isn't exactly a craft question but does anyone know of an
ironingboard easy mechanism? IE, a free standing ironingboard which is easy
to put up and take down which doesn't have the risk of trappingyour fingers
in the mechanism? You have to press the catch and hold the legs in a certain
way and I was wondering if there were any which were easier?
