Good Morning Tracy and Everyone, I think that Terry and I have seen this
type of yarn before.
Yes, it would add an extra dimension and texture to a project.
I probably have made a loomed hat and/or scarf with this yarn.

It feels like some sections are 2-ply and some 1-ply, or something like
that.  They add an extra string in some, and take away in others.

That's interesting! I haven't seen that type of yarn. Does it have sections
that are more open weave?

I am knitting a tank top out of a Tahki Charles cotton called Thick and
Thin.  It's a chunky yarn for a few yards, then a sport yarn for a few
yards.  The changes give it a stripy texture that's quite interesting.  I've
made many things with yarn that changes color, but this is the first with
yarn that changes texture.  Just thought I'd mention it as an interesting
thing.
