Joyce;
What is the date and time for the Christmas mouse?
Almost forgot about it. That must be the package that came to the wrong
mail box, yesterday!

Digest - introduction and safety pin beading

Kimberly,

I basically am the safety pin teacher and I do make up the kits and sell
them. This past week I did send out supplies to one of our members in
Australia. The kits were for my classes being taught this month, but all of
them were beading and wire.[ghost & Jack O Lantern-mini pony beads][3 blind
Christmas mice][variety of beads.]

This was my first time mailing to Canada & Australia, but it went OK. I
sent out via first class mail and I am not positive, as when I asked the
Post Office worker for the Australia weight what the max,. is she didn't
know. I found on the internet first class to Australia was under $18 I
thought I read up to 4 lbs[which I thought was a lot of weight'] Canada was
around $12,50

I do send out directions via email after the classes. I package the beads
in separate bags with 3 Braille letters so folks know what color they are
and I make bags up for each size or type of beads. I provide all the beads,
wire, safety pins and added special things for the project. The Mouse kit
had red trimmed in white coat with a small candy cane decoration to be
attached to the hand for their cane. There is also holly leave beads and
small red beads to put together and attach to the tail. The mouse is made
from crystal beads.

The next safety pin beading class will be in December and it will be an
Angel Night Light.

January will be a lighted Snowman & February will be a heart candle holder
both made out of safety pins & beads.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate in sending me them.

Hi everyone,
First of all I just wanted to introduce myself. I hope I am doing this
correctly!
I am from Australia and I have taught myself to knit and loom knit. I love
craft so I really want to learn some other types of craft. I would like to
try safety pin beading but I have no idea where to start. Does anyone know
of any good resources that are descriptive enough for people who are blind?
I look forward getting to know you all!
Kimberlee
