[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Hot pads made of tile or loom knit with cotton

Hi all,

I remember having a 
Hot pad made from tiles with a wodden base. I believe the tiles were of different textures. Perhaps I made it in school or purchased it sometime long ago. I assume the tiles were glued onto the wooden base. Perhaps some one knows more?

I have taught a loom knit hotpad as a class a number of time. This class could be repeated if there is enough interest.
