Hi Shelley, are you feeling all right today?
O k smarty pants, what was the longest ribbon cut in Canada?
Hurricane Super Storm Sandy was 9 years ago? My, how time flys.
She was one mean lady.
I think that she made it all the way up to the Canadian Marittimes.
I hope and pray that we never have to go through another storm like that
ever again.

The longest ribbon used in a ribbon-cutting ceremony measured 5.51 miles
(8.86 km) and was used by the state of New Jersey (USA) to re-open the
Jersey Shore in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, USA, on 24 May 2013. The
re-opening of the Jersey Shore occurred nearly seven months after the area
was devastated by 2012's Hurricane Sandy. The ribbon began on the beach's
coastline and concluded on the famous Seaside Heights boardwalk. New Jersey
governor Chris Christie held the honors of cutting the ribbon. 

 

Did you know the longest ribbon used in a ribbon cutting ceremony measured

5.5 miles and was used by the state of New Jersey  in May 2013
