I've finished my lace shawl, and it's spread out on the blocking pads.

It's made of a cotton fingering yarn that shades from dark grey at the
beginning, to dark plum, into red at the end.

The pattern is called Blossomleaf, and it's on Ravelry for around $5, I
think. I bought the little book of patterns. It has little flowers,
leaves, and a kind of petal pattern at the finished edge. It took a whole
skein of yarn, but it's very light.

It came out very long, so long that I can tie the ends a bit when I have it
on.

I'm picturing myself wearing my beautiful light summer shawl on some lovely
summer evening, dining out at our favorite Italian restaurant.

Now to wait for it to dry out and stop taking up space spread out at the
side of my living room. I can see why some people pay to have someone else
do the blocking.
