"A wonderful Potpourri of scarves, hats, cowls, mitts and more to make your needles dance!

Arctic Ribbed Hat: two sizes using worsted doubled with size 9 ndls. There is ribbing and short rows. It?s worked flat.
Aran Hat and Scarf Set: Worsted weight yarn and sizes 6 and 9 needles. There are 3 sizes for the hat which is worked flat and has a pompom. There?s one width for the scarf; sizes are determined by the length before fringing. Hat and scarf are both cabled.
Lace Knit Lengthwise Scarf: Fingering weight yarn, very lacy. It?s a big cast on and cast off, 345 sts for the cast-on and more if you do the picot bind off but, it does look like it would be very nice.
Meandering Rib Scarf: I think the yarn is Lion Brand Fisherman, either worsted or aran. The pattern is 24 rows which look nice. It?s a very long scarf, 130 ins (330cm) but that is, of course, personal preference.
Scoodie: LB Wool-Ease Thick and Quick with size 13 ndls. You work the scarf ends, then join them to make the hood; 2 sizes. Two colors, one for the scarf and another for the hood, mock cable, seed st, and st-st.
Wiggie: It uses a ?long eyelash yarn? to mimmick hair. It?s worked in the round, 3 sizes, all knit so you get st-st in the round.
Alpaca Chunky Cowl:One size, super chunky yarn, size 15 ndls. It?s worked circularly with st-st and garter st.
My So Called Scarf: One size, size 11 ndls. It?s a sort of mock cable stitch.
Cowl: One size, worked from bottom to top, then the short ends are sewn together. Worsted weight yarn, size 9 ndls, and an 8 row pattern.
Diagonal Stripe Scarf: It uses a self striping yarn and size 5mm (usa8) ndls. It uses short rows and wrapped sts but, I think it?s fairly clearly written.
Elongated Scarf: Naturally Caron yarn and size 6 ndls. It?s seed st borders with an eyelet pattern that looks good. It?s a lot of rows but, easily memorized. Long as you want it and no fringe.
Good Fences Scarf: Aran weight yarn, I think it might be self-striping or variegated. Reversible with a 7 row rep.
Lacy Leaves Scarf: Fingering weight yarn with a 16 row rep and knit borders.
Whistler Headband: Dk yarn worked from short end to short end with a button.
Cattia Cabled Cowl: bulky yarn and size 11 (8mm) ndls with 4 st cables.
Reversible Cable Sampler Seaman's Scarf: Worsted yarn and size 8 ndls. It?s 4 different reversible cables so it will be nice and cushy as well as reversible.
Feather and Fan Rolled Brim Baby Hat: Dk yarn, one size, top down circularly.
Fan Stitch Scarf: Bulky yarn and size 9mm (usa13) ndls. It?s an 18 st, 4 row rep.
Dream Weaver Luxury Scarf: fancy yarn that?s probably discontinued. Any worsted or even dk yarn that?s ?fancy? would work on size 8 (5mm) ndls. The rep is 3 sts +2 with 2 rows.
Cowl Shrug: Super bulky yarn and size 35 (19mm) straight or circular ndls. Directions are given for both: garter st but, with straight ndls, you have to sew the back seam.
Roll-Brim Hat: Worsted weight cotton and size 5mm (usa8) ndls. It?s got 4 sizes, worked in the round bottom up, all st-st (which is all knit rnds).
Sylvia's Hat: Worsted weight yarn and appropriate ndls. It?s done bottom up, flat, with a one-row pattern.
Garter Stitch Reversible Zigzag Scarf: Two yarns held together. You inc at one end and dec at the other end of every other row to make it zigzag.
Rolled Brim Hat II: Very basic, st-st with suggestions for changing colors or doing purl ridges; 3 sizes.
Knitted Beret: One size, garter st throughout with worsted weight yarn and sizes 4 and 8 ndls. You do make a pompom for the top.
Simple Cabled Scarf: No materials or size info. It?s front and back 4 st cables.
Mystery Scarves & Hand Warmers: Includes: Mystery Rib Scarf; Mistake Rib Scarf; Slip stitch rib Scarf; Hand warmers done in the same patts as the scarves.
Cabled Reversible Scarf: The cables are reversible so the whole scarf is reversible. Worsted yarn.
Piece scarf: It?s a Berroco pattern using Alpaca light and size 5 ndls. There?s a 4 row rep and the scarf is narrower and not quite as long as some of the others.
Horseshoe Lace Cowl: Done circularly. I think the yarn is sock yarn with size 5 ndls. The lace pattern is 10 sts and 8 rnds. It?s got 3 rnds of purl sts to begin and end so, there will be a little roll. I like it.
Fingerless Mitts with Owls There?s a patt for the right mitt and for the left mitt so you get the owls on the back of each hand. There?s single rib to start, then 24 rows for the owl, end with a little more rib. There's a cast off and on for the thumb opening. They?re worked flat and you sew the side seam. Buttons are used for owl eyes.
Saguaro mitts: The cactus is done with twisted sts and 16 rows. One size worked flat with garter st at top and bottom. Sew them up and leave a space for the thumb.
Karen?s Spiral cap: this is my favorite ?go to? cap. Single rib to start, then you dec 1 st. that makes the 4 by 4 ribs spiral since it?s not a number evenly divisible by 8. I didn?t have it written out but, I?m reasonably sure this is all right. It?s worked circularly.

There are eight patterns in this book some for the beginner and some for the intermediate. Cardigans: Bacca Open Front Cardigan (This has dropped sleeves, e.g. no shaping. There?s a small pattern. The bands are knitted in, no buttons or buttonholes and you will pick up sts for the rolled neckband.) Alexi cardigan and scarf (Collar is sewn on, bands are picked up. You still have the dropped shoulder, no shaping for armholes, but now, you have cables, a diamond pattern, and double seed st as well as ribbing. Using markers to set off each pattern will make your life easier. Try working the scarf first to get used to the st patts.) Pullovers for Him: Dan Pullover (Raglans with a round neck. There is a twisted rib pattern with st-st and ribbing. All pieces worked flat except for neckband.) Pisces Mans Fair Isle Pullover (It has a round neck, dropped shoulders, and a written out pattern using 5 colors. Worked flat except for the neckband.) Pullovers for Her: Passiflora lacy sweater (skill level is intermediate but the pattern st is only 2 rows. Bottom band, sleeve cuff, and neckband are all rolled, i. e. plain st-st. Worked flat except for the neckband.) Sybellia Pullover and Scarf (fitted v-neck pullover with twisted rib and cables throughout the body. The sleeves are all twisted rib. The neckband is knitted in so no picking up sts. It has set-in sleeves. Worked flat.) Short Sleeved Tops: Brenda (Short sleeves, crew neckline, raglans, worked flat. All st-st or ribbing) Berroco Carmel Yoke Top (Raglan sleeves,waist shaping, worked entirely in the rnd with self-striping yarn. The yoke uses a second color for more interest.)
