Since pattern designers seem to like charts and graphs instead of written patterns, please give this some consideration.

Subject: [Nfbnet-members-list] Blind adults needed for research on how access technology is used to read graphs, images, and other visualizations online

The below research participant solicitation is being provided for informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.

Opportunity to participate in accessibility research at UW Madison

Our research group at UW Madison is studying how people use assistive technologies to read images, graphs, and visualizations online. We are looking for participants to participate in a study to help us with our work!

Participants must be:

• At least 18 years old
• Legally blind

Participants will be given graphs, and asked to think aloud while they are using the technologies to inform the study team about their behaviors and thoughts, such as what assistive technologies they are using, what information can they perceive from the graphs, what challenges they face. Participants will be compensated a $20 gift card for each hour of a study session.

If you are interested, please fill out the survey <https://uwmadison.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_bqpmNy6LJeKi4M6> : or please contact us at yeaseul.kim at cs.wisc.edu <mailto:yeaseul.kim at cs.wisc.edu> (Yea-Seul Kim).

We look forward to meeting with you and learning from your experiences!
