Anything you do would be so appreciated at this time.  When my husband
passed away, his daughter sent me a throw with a tactile heart on it.
Inside the heart was our initials.  I will treasure it for years.  Braille
cards, notes, scriptures, etc would be wonderful!

Good afternoon all,

 

I have a friend who's just suffered a major loss, her nearly life-long
partner passed due to COVID complications a week and a half ago. She's just
gotten out of hospital and is now COVID negative. I'm looking for ways to
give her inspirational sayings, quotes and/or short messages. She is a
braille reader, though NOT UEB and like most of us enjoys tactile things. I
was thinking of perhaps using puff paint to braille out some phrases or
words but don't know if it's washable. I know there is braille jewelry but
am unsure if it would be economical to get a bunch of bracelets or whatever
as opposed to one blanket or something. I originally said I was going to
get her a t-shirt with "it's ok to laugh" brailled on it. I still think
that's not a bad idea, but that's only one phrase. Thoughts? Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
