[NFB-Krafters-Korner] OT:Special Invitation for all to join the Sending Our Support and Love (SOS) to Joe Ruffalo Event

 Bernice,
Miss Ruth from New Jersey here. Joe Ruffalo is our affiliate's immediate past President, now 1st Vice President. He's been dealing with serious health issues and is in the hospital. 
This event is the brainchild of our current President, Linda Melendez, and our Senior Division President (also Joe's sister) Janie Degenshein. These two ladies are amazing individuals in their own right.
I know youse guys (as we say in Jersey) in the Krafters' Division don't know Joe, but he's one of the all-time greats, and it would mean a lot to have a big turn-out for this event. 
Anyone who has time, please join in if at all possible. We want to make this a big deal, cuz Joe is well, kind of a big deal.
Also, there will be music, meditation, and a whole lot of good vibes.

Greetings all,

When you care about someone who is ill and you feel powerless to do anything
to comfort or heal them, sometimes it's important just to "be" there for
them as well as for yourself and for others who feel the same way. A virtual
gathering keeps us all safe while bringing us together.

Join us, members of Joe Ruffalo's NFB family and friends for a time of
Sending Our Love and Support to him. There will be a few speakers, a brief
time of guided meditation, music from Joe's sister Jane Degenshein and
suggestions for sending Joe some healing thoughts. 

We'll be recording the event so Joe can listen himself to the love coming
from our virtual space on Zoom. We thank the leadership of the National
Federation of the Blind in Baltimore for making a larger Zoom platform
available for this important event so Joe's expansive circle of friends from
across the US can be there, too.

The SOS for Joe (Sending Our Support and Love) for Joe is set for Thursday,
January 14 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Eastern. Please share this invitation far and
