She uses the Zippy lube because she can make a 10 peg Loom with the pieces. This allows her to make a five pointed star. she does have another video making a six pointed star on a 12 peg Loom. I have not watched the entire video but I assume from what I did watch that the number of points on the star is equivalent to the size of the loom you use.
