Slip a bell on the yarn, befor starting and move it to the location, where
you want it, when making the chord.

I would guess this item is tied closed.

Just curious, what will you be using for a closer?

My cats have skin allergies and cannot have any plastic on the collars plus
I like a bell for my hearing.
