I don't think bard lets you put in 2 words in the search. So, I called my
library to jog my memory, and Joanne Fluke is the series I read. She has the
"Strawberry shortcake mystery" and many more. Also, Dailey Cates and Ellie
Alexander have mysteries with recipes in them.
Some of the Debbie Macomburs books have knitting patterns. She is considered
a Christian writer, but I don't think she is too heavy handed with it. If
you haven't given her a try, you might want to.

In the Haunted Yarn Shop series by Molly Macrae, I read Last Wool and
Testament.
In the knitting group series by Anne Canadeo, I read Hounds of the Basket
Stitch, and something else I can't find.

Do you think searching for crafting mystery would be useful on BARD?  There
are a bazillion mysteries of all sorts, so looking at the whole category is
daunting, to say the least.

Hi Tracy, I would suggest that you check Bard under maybe the subject of
Crafting Mysteries or just Mystery series to see if what you are looking for
is there.
What were the titles of the books that you have already read?

Hope this isn't too off-topic.

I'm looking for recommendations for what I call crafty mysteries I can get
from NLS.  You know, the mysteries that are centered around some craft group
or store, and usually have patterns or recipes at the end.  I read both
braille and audio.

I've read a few of these, but nothing that has really grabbed me.  I've read
some of the ones about the knitting group in New England that's always
getting involved with a murder.  And I read a haunted yarn shop one that was
OK.

I'm looking for something fast-paced and entertaining, good old light summer
reading.  

Oh, and I'm not a Christian, so I don't really enjoy books with lots of
Christian overtones.  

So, anyone got a crafty mystery series they think is great?
