[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Today's craft challenge

I love love love these colors!  They're one of my favorite color
combinations.  And thinking about the blingy gaudy mask, I have just the
project!  It comes from the monthly tactile arts club meeting a few months
ago.  You mix up a paste with flour and water, then tear off a length of
aluminum foil large enough to cover your face.  Cover your face with it and
smooth it down with your fingers to trace the contours of your face.  Make
holes for eyes and nose.  Then slap on the flour-water paste, remove, and
let dry.  Then come the paint, feathers, and bling.  My, how we can create
when we put our ideas together.  This mask will be great next year; and in
fact we've got a whole year to make more for our friends. Cathy Miller

I would make the traditional Mardi Gras mask using these colors, beads,
sequins, feathers, etc. The more Blingy & goudy the better!

I am totally confused. The actual Mardi Gras ended on Tuesday, February 16
and February 17 was the beginning of Lent. Is this another type of Mardi
Gras?
