I can not imagine all that work, for a card!
I will use my skills for something that can be used, over and over.

Since so much work went into those cards, I wonder if anyone ever framed
them?
Guess they were to big for ornaments.

One Christmas my Mom made Christmas cards out of plastic canvas. She made a
picture of a Christmas tree and included beads as decorations. Then she made
a contrasting color with beads. Then she glued white cardboard like you find
in shirt packages. It was the size of a common manilla envelope. They were
so cute. I suppose you could put any picture you wanted on it like a
snowman, any animal you like, and maybe a log cabin. They took quite awhile
to make. 
I think I will continue making things for the military if that is okay. I'm
just not a card making person. I almost never buy people greeting cards,
because they have gotten so expensive, and what are you going to do with
them after the occasion is done, throw it out. For quite awhile, I gave
people a poetry book called, "Hailstones and Halibut Bones". I've mentioned
it here before. It is a book about color. I'd rather spend a little more and
give a small book a person can read many times. I've probably bought 50 to
75 copies of that little book. When I first bought them the book cost $2,
and now I think about $5.
So, can we still donate to the military organization?

As an add on to Shelly, no items like glitter.
Also they want each card to have a matching envelope.
If you make a card the size of half a piece of typing paper, but on card
stock, you need an envelope that it will fit in.
Same if you make it half that size.
Do not write anything inside the card.  It is for doctors to write a
message.
They do not want holiday cards.
They want cards like get well, thinking of you, have a happy day.
Cards to chear up the patient!

There are several ways to make cards without using paper. You can decorate
with stickers, small cut out pieces of foam, do braille drawings, paint a
picture, draw a picture, use stencils or stamps, sew on a small crocheted
item, or just hand sew a shape. Let your imagination flow just as long as
anything you add to your card is well adhered.
