Over the weekend we saw my grandma in memory care. She’s doing pretty well and is coming more alive. We brought her some pussy willows that you put in a vase and light up thanks to go battery pack. She loves nature and we thought it would make her feel a little more chipper.

Unfortunately somebody tested positive for Covid. My grandpa wasn’t told whether it was staff or a resident. Yesterday he showed up and they kicked them out because they were busy testing everybody. He’s thinking about getting tested himself. My grandpa‘s there every day. Hopefully our way explanations hold up and we don’t get sick.

If you guys in the caring is sharing group can find a way to do some thing for your local nursing home, assisted-living etc. these are really terrible times for those residence. I know what it’s like to be staff and see residents going crazy because they can’t see family. Especially people in memory care as they have a harder time understanding why their loved one can only phone or send letters. And some people don’t have the capability use A telephone or tablet anymore and only recognize or can communicate- person Visit. Cardsvisit. Cards, knitted/crocheted items and personal care products are always needed. during our one on one In

Please keep my family in prayer as we cannot see or really have contacted my ground for the next few weeks which includes Thanksgiving! This is going to be hard for my grandma as she’s someone who did love to have gatherings and do cooking for holidays. Every time you go over there she still wants to offer sodas or “snack he‘s“ as she calls them even though she has nothing in the room. Sometimes I think she believes she’s at the old house. She keeps telling my grandpa she’ll have supper ready for him when he comes back. Thank you also for keeping others quarantined in your prayers. There’s a difference between deciding to stay in your home during this concerning pandemic time and being a resident in assisted-living or some other facility where your family can’t even come in and you can’t go out. Feels more like jail from what I can see.
