I forgot to say that some knitting groups meet at a coffee place or some such.  If yours is one of those, bring enough money to buy coffee and a cookie or some such.

Like Tracy said, bring your own knitting needles and yarn.
Our church knitting group does items for charity.  We have what we call a yarn closet.  People can donate yarn, needles or anything knitting or crochet, related.  If we need supplies, they are there for us, but what we make with them, goes back to the church.
Not all groups work this way.  Henry and I are the first and only loom knitters in our church kknitting group!

Hi Ericka.
I enjoy my knitting group very much.  Everyone brings some project to work on, and we sit around, chat, do show-and-tell, get or give help, get ideas for new projects, and just enjoy each other's company.  It's a social thing, as much as a knitting thing.
Just bring something to work on, no matter how simple, and friendliness.

A friend of mine from church is now Covid free and able to be out in the community again. She invited me to attend a knitting group in town. Just come along and see what it’s all about for starters. How should I prepare for one of these? What goes on? Has anyone else ever joined some thing like this? It’s not through the church it’s just a communitywide thing.

I just want to not look stupid. I want to make sure I have everything I need and kind of have an idea of how things are run so I know if I can ask questions or we just sit around knitting.
