[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Seed stitch in the round increase help!

Hi there. I hope this wasn’t asked by me before but I have no record of a response.
So I am knitting these fingerless mitts in the round in seed stitch.
When it comes to increasing the gusset the instructions aren’t very good and I hope someone can help.
So you start the seed with a purl, p17, then you have a marker. Then you have one stitch which you are to increase to three by k, p, k, into one stitch. Then you have another marker and continue in seed stitch. The next row seems easy enough where you would p1,k1, p1 where you made three stitches.
Then between the markers you are to increase in the first and last stitches between the markers until you have 13 sts.
I am going crazy trying to get the stitches to continue to line up into seed stitch pattern.
Can someone help or help me modify this to work before I lose my mind?
*smile* I’ve torn up the project so many times in this area. It ends up looking more like a rib or something.

THanks.

Lovette
