[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Giving thanks

Happy Thursday which ever way you celebrate tomorrow. What are my fondest memories of childhood was having Thanksgiving at my grandparents house. My grandma had these name plate turkey things. They were made of paper and the backs of the turkeys were accordion style folded tissue paper type stuff. They folded back up so we could use them every year. You just change the names after we all got older and there were more in the Family i.e. boyfriends and so on.

With grandma in memory care and all of us grand daughters married and living in separate communities we don’t have that traditional Thanksgiving anymore. Good memories but it breaks my heart that my grandpa wants that so much and unfortunately is facing the big change in life. We will be in Madison with them at their favorite restaurant tomorrow. I am actually happy because this turkey doesn’t like turkey. I’ll have liver and onions instead!
