[NFB-Krafters-Korner] Question about crafts that require the strongest glue

Hi,

I want to share the craft of making mini collages using those metal lids you cut from a can of frozen concentrated fruit juice.  It requires strong glue to apply bits of material such as a layer of grains like sand, a piece of drift wood, shells, etc.  I'm thinking of what might be possible to use for the holiday season.  So, with this in mind, does anyone who is totally blind use a glue gun without burning yourself or getting glue permanently stuck on your skin?  If you don't, are there other types of strong glue you can use safely on such a smooth surface?
