Good Morning Shelley and Bernice, I have been toying with the idea of
knitting a full hat and scarf combo for some time now.
You have just inspired me to have a go at the real thing.
Terry P and Terri N., are you both up for this challenge with me?
Anyone else from our Looming group?
Let's have a go at this one!

I've been looking for such a pattern myself and have seen a few different
types. The easiest version is to knit a scarf and then fold it in half and
sew a seam long enough to form the hat portion. Also I wonder if you could
knit a hat and a scarf separately and then sew one side of the center part
of the scarf to the back of the hat.

Did you know the leather industry has an annual revenue of Over $53 billion

Good morning,

My daughter wants me to make them all matching hats. The 3 for the boys is
no problem, but she wants one of those scarf/hat combos. Does anybody have a
pattern for such a hat? I thought of several ways to do it. I could knit the
scarf, and then pick up stitches the distance from front to back. Then knit
that piece over the head going down to the other side of the scarf and
attach it. Then, I could pick up stitches on the part of the scarf to go up
the back of her head and attach it to the piece that goes over her head.
What does anybody think. If there is a different way, I would be glad to
take a look.

Last night my son-in-law and I went to Michaels, and found a wonderful yarn.
It has the word snuggly in the name. They didn't have enough in the store,
so Jim went right online and ordered it while we stood there in the store.
So, cool. Also, it was on sale on the web site. I ordered a couple of extra
skeins to get free shipping. The color is a bright navy blue. I am going to
put a different color stripe in each person's hat, red, yellow, light blue,
and maybe an appropriate green or white. I'm sure I will have plenty blue
left over, so maybe I will make a lap blanket if we have a senior charity
soon.
