I'm pretty sure the place we used to buy bulk beads, safety pins, and other items was Boleks, and I thought they went  out of business, but if the internet is to be believed, they are still online. Their store in Ohio has gone out of business.
Bernice. You can get kits from most of the major craft and big stores like WalMart and Target.

I hope that the couple that you are talking about are well. I do not know them, but I do know that this group with Well Connected said that there  is a mail order company  that also has kits. The kits  come with directions, but I believe that the instructions are in print. If we could get ahold of the instructions in print I might have able to scan them and send the instrchctions to the list. Let me know if anyone  can find the this Bead Company on line. I am also interested in making the Safety  Pin beaded objects. Be My Eyes could help sort beads for free. I used AIRA to sort wooden beads for my Soap Sacks because I had minutes that would expire, so I used  AIRA. I can use Be My Eyes to label my beads in tubes and label them in Braille. I also like Lighthouses.  I bought 200 Safety  Pins to have on hand with   my beads  so that I will be ready to make a safety Pin Beaded project. I know that I will need more Safety Pins, so Amazon here I come. If I talk to the group that is making  the Christmas Tree Table Topper I will as again the name of the company and write it down so that I can share it.

I'm having trouble remembering their last name. They also taught a lighthouse. I absolutely loved making the kits. I belive Teresa had some major health problems and hasn't posted on the list for a few years. I think they may have had a business selling the kits. I sure wish they were still active. I absolutely, like I said, enjoyed their kits. I saved the patterns, but I don't have the energy to put together the kits. I hope she is okay. 
There are companies that sell other kits, but the instructions would be in print, of course.
I have a Tupperware dish with seven divisions for snacks and dips that I used to keep my different beads in. Unfortunately, when my grandson was learning to walk, he stepped into the middle of the beads for the lighthouse. I gathered them up and said I would get help sorting it out later, but I just never have. I collect lighthouse of all kinds.
